Details have emerged about a planned expansion of the hit Stranger Things franchise.
According to Netflix, an anime series titled Stranger Things Toyko is currently in the works at Netflix.
The Series titled 'Stranger Things TOKYO' would follow 2 video game loving twin brothers from the outskirts of 1980's Tokyo who encounters the upside down.
While The Duffer Brothers had previously teased that a spinoff of some kind would be made either before or after the conclusion of the flagship series, there were no further details until now.
Although details on the project are still limited, a brief logline reads: “An encounter with the Upside Down evolves into a grand adventure for video game-loving twin brothers living on the outskirts of 1980s Tokyo.”
The series, which is “the first” Stranger Things spinoff, will run about 6 hours long in total.
The Duffer Brothers most recently hinted about a spinoff in their season 4 Twitter announcement, letting fans know they could still expect more thrilling stories from the Stranger Things universe which would follow “new mysteries, new adventures, [and] new unexpected heroes” after the series ends.
